Ranch: A BJP delegation met with Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and submitted a memorandum against CM Hemant Soren. The memorandum alleges that Hemant Soren abused the post of Chief Minister and awarded the mine in his name. The BJP delegation included former CM Raghubar Das, Deputy State President Gangotri Kujur, General Secretary Aditya Sahu, MP Naveen Jaiswal, MPs CP Singh and MP Yogendra Singh. The BJP has accused Chief Minister Soren of obtaining a stone mining lease in his name.
The party alleged that Soren applied for a lease before becoming cm, but he is still pending. The district mining officer had authorized the request in July 2021. The delegation also demanded the removal of Hemant Soren from the post of CM, his disqualification as an MP and an order to open an investigation against him.
Recently, a big gift was given to contract employees by the government of Jharkhand. The Hemant Soren government has increased the high cost allowance for contract employees to 19.6% from 11.3% previously. Apart from this, the government has also offered a big giveaway to PDS traders. The government has also decided to pay a commission of one rupee per garment to PDS traders under the Sona Sobran Dhoti-Saree-Lungi Scheme. In fact, 63 proposals were sealed during the Jharkhand Cabinet meeting. He also approved the proposal to construct a flyover from Siramtoli to Mecon Chowk in Ranchi at a cost of Rs 337 crore.
