Hudbay will use Strayos AI in its mine

Toronto-based Hudbay Minerals will use Strayos for its artificial intelligence needs at its Constancia copper mine in Peru,

Hudbay will use Strayos mine site analytics products in its operations to improve site safety and efficiency.

Hudbay will implement the Strayos AI Site Analytics suite. This suite includes Highwall AI; Slope stability AI; Haul Road AI; Transport truck engine performance AI; Berm IA; Ground Control AI; and inventory management AI.

“Partnering with Strayos will allow Constancia to increase operational efficiency and increase the overall safety of mining operations,” said Engels Trejo, director of technical services at Hudbay.

“That’s why we are moving towards Mining 4.0, where we have implemented new technologies in our mining operations to be more efficient,” said Pedro Zacarias, Hudbay Mine Planning Superintendent for Services. techniques.

The technology will increase efficiency by using material particle size analysis, ore processing process analysis, copper recovery, site-to-plant communication and competent truck monitoring.

Strayos AI technology will also increase safety through its anti-fatigue and anti-collision systems in transport trucks, as well as pit slope stability monitoring.

“Our software can analyze data from a variety of devices and sensors – including drones – digitize it and generate accurate insights in seconds,” Strayos chief executive Ravi Sahu said.
