WildSky Resources has launched its exploration program in Nigeria

Vancouver, British Columbia–(Newsfile Corp. – July 14, 2022) – WildSky Resources (TSXV:WSK) (“WildSky” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the Company launched its exploration program in Nigeria at the end of February on 3 Niobium-Tantalum exploration licenses after the lifting of restrictions related to COVID-19.

Mapping, prospecting and geochemical surveys were carried out in the southeastern part of license EL 29626, where the regional trend of niobium-tantalum mineralization passes. Outcrop or soil sampling was carried out at 50 meter intervals along grid lines spaced 200 meters apart. The lines were oriented at 330°. An Olympus Vanta VCR (XRF) portable geochemical analyzer was purchased in Vancouver and shipped to Nigeria to support this exploration program. The exploration team was divided into two groups, one group using XRF to analyze the sample in the field, and the other collecting samples and taking them to the camp for analysis. The detection limit of XRF is 5 to 7 ppm for niobium and tantalum, and 4 ppm for thorium. 10 standard samples of Nb-Ta were purchased from Vancouver and South Africa to control the quality of XRF detection. The field team frequently used the XRF to analyze the standard samples and compared the results, indicating that the detection errors of niobium and thorium are less than 20%. However, Ta results are more variable.

By the end of June, the Company had completed 19.8 square kilometers of mapping and geochemical surveys. In addition, 1297 rock samples and 491 soil samples were analyzed. Obvious niobium-thorium anomalies have been delineated at the southern end and northeast corner of EL 29624, which coincide with the regional thorium anomalies where the Kenyang Nb-Ta open pit is located.

The youngest stocks of fine-grained grey-white granite outcrop in the area of ​​the South and Northeast Niobium-Thorium anomalies. This younger granite was thought to be significant mineralization that caused an intrusion at the Kenyang Niobium-Tantalum mine.

The Company has proposed to drill five (5) shallow holes (100 m each) to test the Niobium-Thorium anomalies, 1 in the North-East anomaly and 4 in the South Nb-Th anomaly, and the drilling of the hole BH05 is currently in progress.

In addition, the Company’s technical team is also investigating new lithium and tantalum projects in Africa for potential acquisition by the Company.
